FYI, besides Panda, Non-Stop Travel has just announced two tour groups for the UMass game (3-nt Boston and 4-nt Las Vegas). There are byes before Wyoming and San Diego State.

And again the Midshipmen's triple-option will be a challenge to defend. The Cougars open conference play on the road against the Owls. They avoid any possible cold weather late in the season but can still expect a tough, grinding affair. Potential cold weather games in Wyoming and Nevada are early.
Hawai'i concludes its 12-game regular season by renewing its rivalry with Brigham Young, Nov. 25 in Honolulu. I know they are hard to arrange home game-only games but we have too many road games. We need 7 or 8 home games for the financial benefit … that’s the purpose of the extra game allowed for UH. I’m old enough for the years of only two road games in a season … we were independent back then. That Utah State game looks potentially dangerous sandwiched between two rivalry games. Twelve games is smarter than adding a second FCS school just for the sake of playing the full compliment of games. It’s a nice schedule after what could be the worst traveling season in football history.

Future seasons we will also be having 7-8 home games as well. The Cougars hosted two of their three non-conference opponents, Rice from Conference USA and Texas Tech from the Big 12 Conference. They traveled to Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference.

The Cougars played their home games at TDECU Stadium in Houston, Texas, and competed in the West Division of the American Athletic Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Major Applewhite. They finished the season 7–5, 5–3 in AAC play to finish in second place in the West Division. They were invited to the Hawaii Bowl where they lost to Fresno State.
